Gearing up for the trip homeward

Again we must appologize for being so fickle with the frequency of our postings. I've been spending all sorts of time either preparing for my current group of students or exploring the possibilities next year may bring. Yes, we are heading back to Seattle this summer. Andy is ready for the next step in his diving career and, sadly, the war is causing budget challenges for the DODEA schools and my lovely little school is downsizing. Because I am a local hire, I am low on the totem pole of seniority and when cuts must happen we are the first to be considered. All is for the best, though, and we are both very excited to be going home. We both recently took trips back to the states for a bit of job hunting and friend/family visiting. Andy was told to wait until about a month before he wants to start work to actually contact Seattle dive companies and that, when he's ready, his friends at the Divers Institute of Technology will do a bit of calling on his behalf, too. While he was back in the states, I was working on my application packets and sending them off to a few choice Seattle schools. When Andy arrived home we discussed the possible need for me to go back to Seattle for interviews during my spring break. Needless to say, my jaunt back across the pond was both productive and exciting. I had a total of 7 interviews and saw some pretty exciting schools. Now my fingers are crossed as I wait to hear back from the hiring teams. Wish me luck!
